Listing criteria

A short description of what belongs on this calendar, so that submitting is straightforward.

What gets listed

Seminars, grand rounds, journal clubs, workshops, symposia and conferences whose subject is the biology of aging or closely related science — biomarkers of aging, longevity genetics, senescence, geroscience and the translation of any of it into medicine.

Events are listed when they are:

• Hosted by a research institution — a university, research institute, hospital, or an established scientific society.
• Open to researchers, including trainees, whether in person or online.
• Within reach — Southern California for the regional lists, or a meeting significant enough to travel for on the selected-conferences list.

Coverage

The calendar is selective. It is assembled by one person and reflects one reading of what is relevant, so it will always be incomplete — many excellent events will not appear, and their absence says nothing about them.

Suggesting an event

Suggestions are welcome, particularly for recurring seminar series, which are the most useful thing to have here. Use the submit page. Questions go to the curator privately and are never published.
